Prior to visiting our establishment and/or booking an appointment, please take a moment to review our important salon policies. By booking an appointment, you are also agreeing to these policies. 

These policies are in place and enforced for insurance and liability purposes, out of respect and consideration of our stylist’s equipment and independent work areas, and to ensure that each of our guests can enjoy a safe, relaxing, and comfortable salon service experience.

Booking Policy

As of July, 2024, we are no longer taking appointments over the phone via call, text, or social media.

All clients must book through our online booking system.

Additional appointments may be pre-booked in person by your stylist at the time of checkout, but if this does not occur, again, please utilize our online booking portal links. We have provided a full list of services we offer via our independent stylist links, below. If you do not see an opening available on a certain day, this means that we’re fully booked. Please search for an alternative day with availability, and select the services that best suit your needs.

No-Shows and Cancelations

Please be aware and mindful of your stylist’s no-show and cancelation policies listed on their artist pages. If their policies are not clearly listed, please ask them for their policies prior to booking an appointment.

Parking

You may park anywhere in the Dysart’s Travel Stop plaza that is convenient for you, however, please leave the tire filling parking spaces free for the customers who require the use of this area for air pressure/tire filling purposes. Handicap parking spaces are available for customer who require them, right outside of our main entrance.

Children / Adult Visitors 

Because of occupancy limitations, there will be no additional guests allowed during the appointment time. *The only exception to this policy is a parent accompanying a child who is scheduled for a service, or a clients caregiver who must remain present for the appointment, due to a medical need/condition.

Children may only be at the salon during their appointment time and will not be allowed to wait at the salon unattended during their parent’s service.

If your child is the one receiving the salon service, we ask that they are old enough to sit independently in a salon service chair, with or without a booster chair (which we will provide), without the need to be held by a parent/guardian.

If for any reason a child becomes upset or is unable to sit safely, quietly, and comfortably, we will stop and not continue with the services.

Car seats and strollers within the salon space are prohibited.

Waiting Area Seating

Very limited waiting area seating is provided to guests who are scheduled for a salon service. These chairs are located at the entrance of the salon.

If there are no waiting chairs available, please remain in your vehicle, until your scheduled service time.

No person is allowed to use stylist station chairs or stylist/technician stools for seating, unless they are being seated and caped by a stylist who is ready to provide them with their scheduled service.

No guests are allowed on the salon floor, beyond the waiting area, unless they are receiving their salon service, or are using the restroom facilities. This is for the safety of all.

Foul/Offensive Language

Artisan Grae is a professional, family-friendly establishment. Foul and/or offensive language is strictly prohibited. 

We actively avoid conversational topics having to do with the following: 

  • gossip
  • physical intimacy
  • income/personal finances
  • political or polarizing views
  • personal stories/topics that should be discussed with a qualified mental health professional

Food and Beverage

For safety and sanitation purposes, we do not allow food to be brought in, stored or consumed within the salon by stylists, clients, or visitors. Non-alcoholic beverages are allowed within the salon, but please be very responsible with these items. Non-spill containers are not required, but are appreciated. Please do not leave drinks within the salon space after your scheduled appointment.

Trash cans are conveniently located outside of the salon, near the Dysart’s Travel Stop store entrance, so please be sure to use these areas to properly dispose of any trash.

Complimentary bottled water is available to our stylists and guests, via our salon mini fridge.

Smoking, Vaping, and/or Loitering

Smoking, vaping and/or loitering in front of the salon building/salon entrance is strictly prohibited. 

Drugs and Alcohol

The possession of drugs or alcohol within the salon space is strictly prohibited. 

Masking

Masks are currently not required at Artisan Grae. This may shift and change in the future, based on state laws, requirements and CDC guidelines.

If you’ve come in contact with an individual who has had a fever within the last 48 hours, please do not visit our faculty for your scheduled appointment. We will gladly help you reschedule your appointment for a later date. 

Electronic Devices

If a child/adult needs an electronic device to hold their attention, or to help in passing thee time while in the salon, please ensure they are using headphones within the waiting area, or that the volume is turned off. *If the device is distracting to a stylist, you may be asked to put it away. 

Service Animals, Support Animals, and Pets

Dogs (as well as other animals) are not allowed inside the salon unless they are a licensed service animal that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities, as defined by the ADA. For examples; guiding a person who is blind, alerting a person who is deaf, interrupting a compulsive behavior, and retrieving objects. Animals who’s sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support are not service animals, per the ADA.

Service animals are not pets. We have a No Pets Policy.

If you plan on bringing your service dog to your salon appointment, please inform our salon’s management of this at the time you schedule your appointment, providing us with at least 24 hours notice. Service animals must be cleared by our salon prior to arrival and entry. Service animals within the salon must be leashed at all times and with the service animal owner.

Questions that may be asked by our salon if the nature of a disability is not obvious:

  1. Is the animal a service animal required because of a disability?
  2. Which task(s) or service(s) is the animal trained to perform?

Gift Cards

Gift cards / gift certificates are available for purchase in-salon, however, they are stylist specific. By purchasing a gift card from a stylist, the service must be scheduled and gift card must be redeemed with the same stylist.

This is because each stylist runs their own independent business within our salon, and therefore is responsible for their own scheduling and service transactions.

Product Returns and Exchanges

All professional product sales are final. We do not allow any returns and/or exchanges of any retail products, including direct to consumer sales placed through our Salon Interactive online store.

Service Payments and Refunds

Hair services, payments, questions, concerns and/or adjustments are strictly between you and your stylist. Artisan Grae LLC is a booth rental salon. This means that all stylists are independent contractors who rent a chair, while owning and running their own business entities within in our salon space. If you have questions about your hair or any professional salon service that you’ve received, please contact your stylist directly.
